A preventive care calendar for the whole family

What to schedule and when, from a child's first dental visit to annual skin checks for adults.

Children

A first dental visit around age three, framed as a familiarisation trip rather than a treatment, sets the tone for the next decade. Six-monthly reviews then allow us to monitor eruption patterns and catch decay early.

For skin, most childhood concerns are self-limiting, but persistent eczema or recurrent infections deserve a dermatology review.

Adults

Six-monthly dental examinations and cleanings remain the baseline. Adults with gum disease, diabetes or a history of frequent decay may be advised a shorter interval.

An annual skin review is sensible if you have many moles, a family history of skin cancer, or significant sun exposure.

Making it stick

Book the family's appointments together at the start of each cycle. Our front desk keeps a recall list and will remind you before each due date.
